Little Bai of the Tang Dynasty

On the night of the Mid-Autumn Festival, the full moon shines overhead. Yong’an Palace glitters with lights, like a heavenly palace. On the jade terrace before the palace, ministers stand in splendid robes, while beautiful women dance and sing. What a magnificent sight: Chang’an in all its splendor, the Great Tang at the height of its glory.

Jiang Xiaobai raises his golden cup to the moon and recites: “A single moon shines over Chang’an; in ten thousand homes, clothes are beaten. Bang-bang, bang-bang-bang. Boom-boom, boom, boom, boom~~~”

The generals cheer and rejoice as one. The civil officials stamp their feet and beat their chests, utterly devastated.

Empress Zhangsun says to Li Shimin, “Erlang, I want to strangle him.”

Li Shimin says to Empress Zhangsun, “Guanyinbi, I want to strangle him too!”

Jiang Xiaobai has no idea disaster is about to strike. He keeps swaying his head, smug and pleased with himself.

To find out whether Xiaobai lives or dies, read Lao Jiang’s new work, “The Little White of the Great Tang.”

This book is entirely fictional and is not an official history.
