A Meeting of Hearts

Lin Lanchi is attacked one day, only to unexpectedly switch souls with the violent Crown Prince of the Eastern Palace.

She has endured countless hardships and nearly died at the hands of her own family. Even if she survived, she would have to die in someone else's place in an arranged marriage. But from then on, whenever her scheming cousin tries to hurt someone, the Crown Prince beats her up; whenever a vicious palace maid makes trouble for her, the Crown Prince beats her up again. Lin Lanchi only needs to relax in the Eastern Palace, leisurely handle memorials, and occasionally deal with her tea-loving younger imperial brother and sinister elder brother.

One night after they get together, Lin Lanchi suddenly has an idea.

"Your Highness, do you think you can help me have a baby?"

-

"Don't worry, I don't like you. Once we switch back and I successfully ascend the throne, we'll divorce. You can still have a splendid wedding, to anyone you like."

"You were so bold before. What are you afraid of now?"

"I told him that Your Highness isn't His Majesty, and won't make the same mistake twice."

"Don't be afraid, Lanchi. Don't be afraid. I'll protect you."

"Then Your Highness will be an emperor without equal in history. Perhaps the chronicles will say you doted on me alone, or perhaps they'll say it was because I was jealous..."

"Does the Crown Princess care what people in the future will say?"

"I don't care."

"I want to die by Lin Lanchi's side."
