I Really Don't Want to Be a Foolish Emperor

When Xia Yan wakes up, he's become the emperor of the Great Xia Dynasty and successfully awakened the Eternal Emperor System.

If he succeeds, he can unify the world. Even if he fails and the dynasty falls, he'll simply return to his previous life.

At first, Xia Yan thinks he can lie flat and be an emperor who takes it easy.

But...

"Your Majesty, please go review the memorials."

"Your Majesty, you can only have one glass of wine."

"Your Majesty, for the sake of your health, you can't spend more than fifteen minutes each night."

I want to go back!

If the dynasty falls, I can go back, right? Then let's make it happen!

Excessive taxes and levies sound good. Let's impose them today!

The common people are living too comfortably? Harsh laws and punishments!

The local gentry and aristocratic clans have too much money? Exploit them!

Well, my name is Xia Yan. I may seem utterly incompetent, but please believe me.

I don't want to be a foolish ruler.

I just... want to bring down a dynasty!
