A Record of Songjing's Splendor

Cai You: He struggled out from behind a fence crawling with sin, alone and covered in blood, driven only by the hope of reaching a dawn where she awaited him.

Xie Fanfan: She basked in the dazzling warmth of the sun, its radiant colors spilling across the world. Though she had drunk the bitterest liquor and tasted the most sorrowful tears, she remained full of wonder, innocent and sincere.

She thought she was healing the wounds in his heart.

She never knew she had already fallen into love's prison, sinking into ruin alongside him.

But tender feelings as deep as the sea cannot overcome years of resentment, and vows of eternal love cannot withstand the erosion of time. Is it love or hatred? Is it true or false? They can hardly bear to part...

As the blade in his hand pierces the heart of the woman he loves, blood gushes forth, and all his helplessness turns into a tenderness that binds him around her little finger:

Cai You:

Your grievance against me belongs to the past.

My love for you belongs to the present.

Since we've chosen to be entangled, there's no need to care about parting.

If you insist on hating me, I only ask for a lifetime to atone for my sins.

Xie Fanfan:

One smile at our meeting, and old grudges vanish. This moment makes life worth living.

Amid this turbulent age of clashing blades and blood-soaked ballads, I wish to join hands with you and cross the long road of this mortal world.
