Fate on the Mountain

While Jin Yunlan was being tormented by one blind date after another, Li Zhi abducted her to Kong Mountain. There she unexpectedly learned that the notorious Li clan had secretly been persecuted by the Jin Yun clan for a thousand years.

Consumed by guilt over her ancestors' wrongs, Jin Yunlan resolved to become clan leader and improve relations between the two clans. But her fellow clanspeople all regarded the Li clan as their mortal enemy, while she fell in love with Li Zhi, the clan leader, as she secretly spent time with her.

Their opposing loyalties and vastly different lifespans only widened the distance between them.

Yet Jin Yunlan refused to let go of the rope in their tug-of-war. And as she and the aloof, cold Li Zhi spent time together, she gradually dispelled Li Zhi's prejudice and hatred toward her. In the end, Li Zhi couldn't help but surrender first, willingly drawing closer to her and crossing the thorny path at her side.
