Design work is exhausting. Yu Xiao’s dream is to reach the day when she can’t take it anymore, pack up the savings she’s built over the years, and return to her hometown to find a thoughtful, gentle man and live a blissful life of luxury.

On an ordinary, sunny morning, Yu Xiao stepped into the company break room and was instantly drawn to Meng Yu, who was sitting in the lounge area.

With a face so beautiful it could put the rest of the world to shame, Meng Yu made Yu Xiao, a longtime single woman, unable to look away.

They had never met before.

Meng Yu ordered Yu Xiao to fetch him tea and water. One moment he complained that the coffee tasted awful, the next he wanted a different drink. He was impossibly fussy, all the while flirting with her and passing judgment on her.

When Yu Xiao lost her temper, she treated Meng Yu like a flashy client trying to swindle her out of her money and virtue. That was how their feud began.

Little did she know this pretty boy had quite a background: he was not only a guest of the chairman, but also the younger brother of her mentor Xu An’s ex-girlfriend.

So, at Meng Yu’s request, the chairman personally assigned Yu Xiao to the project, making Meng Yu her client.

The two clashed throughout their collaboration. Meng Yu refused to cooperate and repeatedly made things difficult for her.

He rejected every proposal Yu Xiao submitted, saying he disliked the style or the colors were wrong. In short, they couldn’t settle on a final design.

And so the battle between client and designer officially began…
