The Adorable Cat Bride

Lou Xiangming has been frail and sickly since childhood. When she is near death from a serious illness, she discovers she can possess cats. Sharing part of her illness with a cat lets her survive, and she can use the cat's body to roam wherever she likes. By chance, she meets Xiao Yan, the son of the Marquis of Dingguo, who has been imprisoned. Sympathizing with him, she secretly brings him silver and snacks every so often in the guise of a black cat, keeping him company for years.

Xiao Yan is grateful to the black cat, and by extension, fond of its owner, Lou Xiangming. When he learns that Lou Xiangming's stepmother plans to marry her off as a concubine to her half-brother Xiao Ming, he schemes to make Lou Xiangming his own wife instead.

Then one day, Xiao Yan learns the truth and realizes he thanked the wrong cat...
