Reborn: The Female General Is the Regent's Cherished Darling

They say the Regent is cruel and ruthless, and has no interest in women.

Everyone in the Tianfeng Dynasty knows that if you want to speak ill of him, you have to do it in private. If the Regent finds out, you'll never see another sunrise.

The young ladies can only gaze at that face and yearn for him. They may fall for him, but they can't get close.

The guards in the Regent's mansion worry themselves sick every day over their lord's romantic prospects.

Not long after Su Zijin is reborn, an imperial decree arrives, betrothing her to the rumored Regent.

Unwilling to take the rumors at face value, she sneaks into the Regent's mansion in the middle of the night to see him for herself, only to get caught. She thinks she's lucky to have gone unnoticed, but the Regent personally comes to her door to catch the little thief.

She comes up with a plan and readily admits it.

"Your Highness, how about we make a deal?"

He raises an eyebrow, intrigued, and agrees.

She thinks they'll each keep out of the other's business, but the Regent changes his ways completely. From then on, he follows his wife's lead and spends every day at her side.

The princess consort looks at the man before her, begging for affection, and questions her entire life. With a sigh, she says, "You can't trust rumors."
