Soaring on the Wind for Ninety Thousand Miles

Yu Shiqi, a young man determined to give up being a swordsman and become a wandering painter,

meets Xi Lingyue in the Western Wilds, a spirited girl who is both righteous and wicked.

…

“What’s your real name?” she asks with interest.

“Yu Yanzhi…” He pauses. “Yu, as in ‘deceiving one another.’”

Xi Lingyue smiles. “Does anyone really introduce their name that way? You could say it’s the Yu in ‘free from worry.’”

“Sorry. Those four characters have no place in my life.” He gives a bitter, self-mocking smile.
