I Found Out My Dad Was the Chairman During a Job Interview

My name is Chen Feng. I’m the chairman of Taihong Group and the man who ultimately calls the shots behind the scenes. I have a daughter, and I wanted to give her the very best, so I started with diapers and kept building up the company until its businesses covered just about everything. My name is Chen Xi. I’ve always had excellent grades, and my parents love and dote on me. But they’re always trying to control me. I want to get away and live the life I want, proving to them that I can make something of myself. So I applied for a job at Taihong Group, hoping to build a career there. But after joining the company, I found that everything seemed almost too good to be true. The executives and my coworkers treated me so well that it felt just like home. Then one day, I discovered that my dad’s household products company was actually part of Taihong Group. “Happy birthday, Dad! I bought you some new clothes.” “Dad, you’re the best. Let me treat you to a giant lobster.” “Dad, you’re so wonderful. I’m buying you a new phone.” “Dad, I want to buy a car.” Chen Feng: “Sweetheart, we make all those things ourselves. Why are you being so polite?” Chen Xi: “Dad, is there any industry our family hasn’t gotten into?” Chen Feng: “I don’t think so.”
