After Three Years in the Cold Palace, the Fat Empress Faked Her Death and Went on a Killing Spree

As empress, Jiang Wu was plump and plain, without a trace of beauty. She spent three years by the emperor’s side, enduring the cold palace’s dangers, loneliness, and schemes. Yet he continued to despise her, and they never once shared a bed. With a single charge of being unable to bear an heir, she was deposed and sent to the cold palace. On the day she took her own life, Jiang Wu’s soul drifted away, and in the modern world she became an all-around overachiever. When she returned, her eyes were full of icy malice, and she set a great fire. As flames blazed into the sky, she faked her death and fled the palace. From that day on, the loathed, corpulent Empress Jiang vanished from the world. To take her revenge, Jiang Wu sought out the aloof, otherworldly Imperial Preceptor and presented him with a marriage contract. Xun Xuanji, the Imperial Preceptor, bent down. No longer cold and distant as before, he gazed at her tenderly and asked, “Miss Jiang, do you remember that although I am the Imperial Preceptor, I am also your former imperial husband’s maternal uncle?” Jiang Wu broke free from her poison and entered the game at her own risk, intent only on crushing everyone who had ever bullied and humiliated her. But the once-heartless emperor had already become obsessively deranged. Regret churned in his eyes as he said, “Do you know, Aunt-by-marriage, that you look just like my late empress?” But Jiang Wu wanted only to seize his empire and throne.
