The Marquis’s Misfortunate Couple: Fighting by Day, Making Babies by Night

Stunt double Su Xiaohe transmigrates into the body of a maid who has hanged herself in the marquis's manor. The moment she opens her eyes, she's bound to the Great Female Lead System.

Su Xiaohe: "I'm the female lead?"

System: "No! Your daughter is. Your job is to have her with Xie Yanqing."

To stay alive, Su Xiaohe tries everything to get into his bed, only for Xie Yanqing to throw her out the door.

System: "Minor task failed. Activating electric shock punishment!"

Su Xiaohe: "Having a baby is not just my job! Why are you punishing only me and not Xie Yanqing? Are you some kind of sexist System?"

After Su Xiaohe's counter-PUA campaign, the System shocks Xie Yanqing too and binds him as a subordinate account.

Xie Yanqing: "I never believed in ghosts or gods! After the System shocked me, I believe."

From then on, the two unwillingly bound misfortunates begin their drawn-out baby-making mission.

Xie Yanqing: "Why aren't you pregnant yet? You eggless hen!"

Su Xiaohe: "Are you impotent? You seedless mule!"

They spend their days cursing and fighting, then hold each other close at night to make babies, having one son after another.

At last, their fourth child turns out to be the female lead certified by the System.

Xie Yanqing holds Su Xiaohe's hands, eyes damp. "I'll go to the palace and petition for an imperial decree to marry you as the heir's wife!"
