The Miaojiang Feng Shui Master

I was born on the fifteenth day of the seventh lunar month, the Ghost Festival.

It was the day of the year when yin energy was strongest, and I was born at midnight, the moment when yin and yang meet.

Born at that time and a girl to boot, I became a child of utmost yin.

That wasn't my due date.

They say that when my mother was just over seven months pregnant, a yellow weasel that had failed to gain human worship injured her belly, and I became a premature Seven-Star child.

At the time, a whole yard full of yellow weasels and snakes surrounded the gate. I could laugh and clap as soon as I was born. My grandmother called me a monster and wanted to drown me in a well, but she ended up dying beside it herself!
