I Kept a Low Profile Until I Became the Grand Elder, and Now the Whole Sect Begs Me to Come Out of Seclusion

After dying suddenly from overwork, Zhou Yunxi wakes up as the Supreme Elder of the Shuangyue Sect.

She thought she was about to reach the pinnacle of life, but then she took a closer look:

The sect is drowning in debt, its disciples cannot afford to eat, its enemies are blockading the mountain gate, and she, the legendary Nascent Soul Ancestor, is actually only at the early Foundation Establishment stage.

Zhou Yunxi: Is it too late to run?

Luckily, she has bound herself to a random-draw System.

[Deliciousness +1000%]

One pot of ordinary spirit potatoes leaves every disciple in the sect suddenly enlightened.

[One Sword Opens Heaven's Gate: Incomplete Version]

One strike, and a cultivator at the peak of the Golden Core stage turns to ash on the spot.

[Heavenly Rain]

She casually summons a light shower, and the entire cultivation world thinks she is unleashing an unrivaled divine power.

And then things slowly start to go wrong.

She wants to keep her head down, but her disciples say she is farsighted.

She wants to make money, but her disciples say she is rebuilding the sect.

She runs a cafeteria, opens spirit fields, repairs grand arrays, and builds businesses, all because she just wants to save enough for retirement as soon as possible.

But before she knows it,

she has turned a ninth-rate sect that could not even afford a meal into the greatest holy land in the cultivation world.

Years later, sects from across the land come to pay homage.

Zhou Yunxi sits in the seat of Supreme Elder, gazing at the powerful cultivators kneeling throughout the mountain gate, lost in thought.

Did I... take the act a little too far back then?
