Investiture of the Gods: Ziya and His Allies Call Off the Engagement, and I Become King Zhou's Vanguard

Shen Wei transmigrates into the Investiture of the Gods world. By a twist of fate, he becomes Jiang Ziya's disciple and fights his way from an unknown nobody in Xiqi to its vanguard marshal.

He thinks that by helping Xiqi conquer Shang and accumulating merit and fortune, he can earn a chance to become a god in the flesh during the great tribulation of the Investiture of the Gods.

But when the five passes have fallen and Chaoge lies just ahead, no reward awaits him.

His elite cavalry is taken away, and his military authority stripped from him.

His beautiful fiancee, Yi Jiang, is forced apart from him and made King Ji Fa's queen.

The mandate of the Investiture of the Gods, which he has fought half his life to earn, is mercilessly taken from him.

After ten years of war, he turns out to have been nothing but a pawn, discarded the moment he was no longer useful!

Just as Shen Wei is about to break completely with Xiqi, the System awakens, ten years too late!

[Choice One: Bow your head and accept your fate. Hand over the tiger tally, surrender your armor, and accept a noble title. Withdraw from the great tribulation of the Investiture of the Gods, retire to the mountains, and enjoy a lifetime of wealth in the mortal world. Reward: One Nine-Turn Golden Pill! One superior-grade acquired spiritual treasure, the Mystic Origin Heartguard Mirror!]

[Choice Two: Defy the Mandate of Heaven. Betray Xiqi, sever your master-disciple bond, and defy the tide of Zhou's rise to prevent Heaven's decree of Investiture. Reward: Chaos Demon Body! The innate supreme treasure, the Godslaying Spear!]

[Choose to defend Mianchi. Reward: The Great Dao-level Chaos Great Dao Scripture and the Twelve Heavenly Gods' Fiendish Formation!]

From then on, Shen Wei holds Mianchi, slays the Chan Sect, and gathers the fortune of Great Shang. The former marshal of Xiqi becomes the most formidable pass standing in Ji Fa's way!

Jiang Ziya: “Shen Wei, the Mandate of Heaven favors Zhou. You can't stop it!” Shen Wei grips the Godslaying Spear as the Twelve Heavenly Gods' Fiendish Formation rises behind him.

“The Mandate of Heaven?”

“Then today I'll smash this so-called Mandate of Heaven! I want the strongest liquor, and the most beautiful wives and daughters!”
