After Ten Years in Hiding, She Avenge's Her Mother's Death and Claims the Empress's Throne

She was born into a family of scholars, with a comfortable, carefree life. Then, when she was five, everything changed. Her scumbag father wanted to climb the ranks, so he married a daughter of a powerful family. He even colluded with bandits to torture and kill his wife and daughter, stepping over their corpses as he rose higher and higher. But she didn't die. Now it's your turn. Young and frail, Shen Yanshu stood at the palace gates, covered in scars, and silently swore an oath. If this world can't stop powerful families like yours from doing evil, then I'll find somewhere that can. If you can't kill me, I'll send every last one of you to hell. From now on, everything you owe me, everything you owe my mother, you will pay back to me in full!
