I Use Animals as Informants. Isn't It Only Natural That I Solve Cases?

The Jiangcheng Criminal Investigation Unit gets a peculiar new recruit: Qin Feng. When others investigate a murder scene, they look for fingerprints and footprints or review surveillance footage. Qin Feng shows up with cat treats, freeze-dried snacks, and premium imported ham.

A veteran detective scolds him: “We’re investigating a murder, not opening a zoo!”

But just when every lead has gone cold and the case hits a dead end, Qin Feng picks up a stray orange cat and points to a sewer dozens of kilometers from the crime scene. “Captain, the murder weapon is down there. Also, the killer has a birthmark on the inner side of his left thigh.”

The captain asks, “How do you know all that?”

Qin Feng glances at the orange cat in his arms, smacking its lips, and answers with a straight face: “Oh, this cat just happened to be watching from the windowsill when it happened.”

From then on, Jiangcheng’s underworld is shaken and criminals are driven to despair.

Because in Jiangcheng, you might think you’ve avoided every security camera, but you don’t know that the stray dog yawning by the roadside, the rat munching an apple in the sewer, and even the gecko clinging to the ceiling are all Qin Feng’s top informants!

Qin Feng: “There’s no such thing as a perfect crime, as long as my little fish snacks keep coming.”
