Falling Passionately in Love with You After Marriage

A captivating flirt versus a fake playboy

The first time they met,

Ruan Shu had been drinking. Bold with drunken courage, she cornered him and asked, “Brother Chi, how many months would it take you to win me over?”

Lu Qichi sneered and gave her a sidelong glance. “You’re the sixth woman this month to throw herself at me.”

“What a coincidence. Six is my lucky number.”

Later, Ruan Shu not only won him over, she married him. But soon after their whirlwind wedding came a whirlwind divorce.

On the day Lu Qichi won the World Superbike Championship,

the whole country erupted in celebration.

It was the first time anyone from China had reached the final since the competition began, and no one expected him to take the title.

After the race, reporters rushed to interview him.

One of them asked the question countless netizens had been curious about: “We heard you were married before?”

Lu Qichi stood there in his racing suit, helmet in hand. He paused at the question, then looked toward the reporter holding a CCTV microphone and smiled. “No.”

At a distance, Ruan Shu heard his answer and couldn’t help tightening her grip on her microphone.

One night after they got back together,

Ruan Shu went with Lu Qichi to visit his parents in his hometown. There, among a stack of certificates he had carefully kept, she spotted a photo of herself receiving an award.

She narrowed her eyes, convinced she had found proof she could use against him, and went straight over. “Care to explain?”

He looked up, put out his cigarette at an unhurried pace, and replied coolly, “There’s nothing to explain. How about I give you a million?”

Ruan Shu was left speechless.

That million was the breakup money she had left him when she disappeared without a word after their divorce.
