The Commandery Princess Is So Sweet! The Lovesick Villain Is Obsessed with Her

[A soft, silly beauty × a restrained, possessive villain. Sweet, indulgent, and heart-fluttering.] Princess Hua Xi was peerlessly beautiful and adored beyond measure. Suitors flocked to the imperial city in such numbers that they wore down the palace gates. Recently, however, she had been plagued by nightmares. In them, the city gates were breached and she was abducted. All she could see was a scar on the man’s body. Terrified, the princess asked the emperor to choose a guard to protect her. The guard was handsome, gentle, and as refined as the moon. The princess was quite taken with him. But the nightmare came true: rebels stormed the imperial city and demanded that Princess Hua Xi be handed over. The little princess, eyes brimming with tears, gathered up a drawerful of gold and jewels and stuffed them into the guard’s arms. “I don’t have long to live. Take these, escape, and make a life for yourself.” The guard smiled gently, then calmly cut off the rebel leader’s head. His immaculate hands pulled his beloved into his arms. “Who else wants to die?” After the rebellion was put down, the princess married. Then she saw a familiar scar on her groom. Her smile grew more and more strained, but the groom smiled at her. “Why are you trembling on our wedding night, Princess?” * Li Mingji had coveted Princess Hua Xi all his life, only to watch her die in his arms.
