On the Day the General Seeks Her Hand, the Emperor’s Eyes Burn Red with Jealousy

On the day palace maid A Qing was due to leave the palace, Meng Yanli, a fellow villager, saw her off at the palace gates.

Watching her go with reluctance, Meng Yanli sighed. She was old enough to leave the palace too, but unfortunately she wasn't as lucky as A Qing.

Just then, Eunuch An reminded her that His Majesty was getting impatient waiting in the imperial garden...

Qi Yuanheng had struggled for more than ten years before finally ascending the throne. Yet Meng Yanli, who had stood by him all along, now wanted to leave the palace and spend her later years in retirement, and even hoped to be with the great general! She could forget about it!

When the prince he had raised since childhood became a scheming little wolf, the Emperor was beside himself with jealousy: A Li, look at me. Just once!
