Defying the Heavens

On a baseless charge, the entire Xuantian Sect was executed by the Immortal Alliance. As a child, Ye Ming watched his classmates, teachers, beloved, and father leave him one by one. Then he spent five miserable years hiding in a forest teeming with demon beasts and dangers at every turn. Consumed by bitter hatred, Ye Ming struggled for years before finally arriving at the City of Eternal Night, Bi Luo Huang Quan, a place beyond the reach of the law! “Do you know anyone, or any faction, who’d give anything to kill the higher-ups of the Immortal Alliance?” he casually asked. “No problem. I think I know just the place for you.” A poker-faced boss, a cold and aloof expert, a battle-crazed martial arts fanatic, an innocent and naive witch, and a lecherous old man. Ye Ming never expected that the only people he’d meet in this one pocket of sunlight in the City of Eternal Night would all be complete oddballs. The road ahead would be rough, but Ye Ming still chose this most mysterious place in the Nine Provinces to take the first step toward revenge.
