The Deposed Empress Escapes, and the Scumbag Emperor Chases Her for Miles

The year Su Hanning returned from the frontier, she met Chu Siye for the first time.

A prince, yet as bedraggled as a beggar.

She saved him, and as time passed, a subtle affection grew between them.

The late emperor fell gravely ill, and the palace was placed under tight guard.

Su Hanning and Chu Siye did not see each other for half a year.

When they met again, he had become the new emperor, and she had become the empress.

The court was full of intrigue, and the inner palace was no more peaceful.

Chu Siye took a liking to the newly recovered daughter of the prime minister's family and made her a Noble Consort.

Before long, he also made the regent's adopted daughter a Worthy Consort.

Su Hanning became an empress confined to the Cold Palace, where anyone could bully her.

After a devastating upheaval struck her family, Su Hanning found no one in the Cold Palace to answer her pleas for help. She escaped the palace and wandered the martial world.

Before long, she met a man wearing a mask.

He treated her with tender concern and even helped her find her family.

Do you think I wouldn't know who you are just because you put on a mask?

You treacherous emperor!
