After Guarding the Demon Realm for 300 Years, I Became the Sect's Sinner

Three hundred years ago, Ye Xuan was brought back to the sect by his aloof master. With his extraordinary talent, he rose to become the leader of the Lingxiao Sect. When he learned that a node to the Demon Realm was sealed beneath the sect's spirit spring, he willingly sacrificed everything for the sect. Even at the cost of losing his cultivation, he stood guard over the node for three hundred years, enduring everyone's mockery and doubts. Three hundred years later, just as the seal was about to be completed, Ye Xuan was stripped of his position as sect leader and his cultivation was destroyed. His aloof master severed their ties, and he was driven from the sect amid the jeers of thousands. Fortunately, he had completed a sign-in task while guarding the node. The moment Ye Xuan, now a cripple, walked out through the mountain gate, all the cultivation rewards he had earned flooded into him at once, breaking him through his limits! Three years later, as the entire Lingxiao Sect celebrated, a wisp of demonic energy quietly seeped into the heart of the spirit spring. When the evil creatures of the Demon Realm finally appeared, the people of the Lingxiao Sect realized that the demon-slaying defenses Ye Xuan had left behind really worked. But they had dismantled them with their own hands. Panic and regret swept through the sect.
