They’re Good at Forgiving

After Lin Zixing is assaulted, her mother is trapped in debt after being swindled into a pyramid scheme and is desperately waiting for money that could save her life. Lin Zixing is forced to reach a settlement with Zhou Jin, a criminal of extremely high social standing, but that isn't the end of it. After Zhou Jin is released from prison, he begins sending the letters he has written to her workplace, one after another. The hidden truth slowly comes to light, and Lin Zixing suddenly discovers that even the mastermind behind her mother's initial entanglement in the pyramid scheme has countless ties to Zhou Jin. She will never be able to escape his control. The threats and harassment in the letters escalate again and again. Lin Zixing's friend trembles as she urges her to call the police. Even if they can lock this nightmare away for a while, that's better than nothing. Lin Zixing, however, silently files away every letter. To outsiders, this is resignation, despair, and the numbness that follows trauma. They're wrong. This isn't even the beginning. Before dealing with Zhou Jin, Lin Zixing wants to find his seemingly perfect wife. She wants to know: when the cage begins to shake, will the first hand to reach out belong to another woman trapped inside? Little does she know that this woman is the true author of those letters.
