After transmigrating to the Northern Song frontier, he becomes cannon fodder from the start, too poor to eat and about to be beaten to death by a corrupt superior who withholds his pay?

Xia Ren slashes his superior's throat with a broken piece of armor!

The Song dynasty is rotten to the core. Civil officials are greedy, generals are afraid to die, and even the emperor is preparing to kneel to the Jurchens.

Troublemaking soldiers? Break their bones and teach them a lesson!

Grain merchants hoarding food? Lead the troops to raid their homes and redistribute their wealth to the poor!

Twelve golden orders demanding his death? Xia Ren leads 100,000 cavalry to crush Jiangnan, shoots Qin Hui dead with a single shot in front of Fengbo Pavilion, and tears up the imperial edict in front of Zhao Gou!

"Junior brother, the Song is rotten to the core. Why not flip the board? I'll help you ascend to the throne, then we'll crush the Jurchens!"
