She Was Caged

Mixed-race daddy loses control / age gap / marriage first, love later Poor, clever, money-loving sweetheart VS a mixed-race daddy with eight nationalities in his blood and a mind full of schemes The day Meng Shixia first met Zhou Congye abroad, she really should have checked her horoscope before leaving home. Her first love cheated on her, her luggage was stolen, and she was almost kidnapped before breakfast. When he learned that her grandmother back home had gotten into trouble, Zhou Congye politely and gently dangled a tempting offer before her. He said he needed an obedient, compliant wife for a marriage of convenience. Meng Shixia hadn’t wanted to make a deal with the big bad wolf, until she saw him write a string of zeros on the check. “What do I need to keep in mind as your wife?” she asked. “Just do as you’re told,” he replied. After they married, he was gentle with her in every way, but he never once took a submissive position. He always carried himself like he was above everyone else. Meng Shixia was most afraid of the man beneath that mild-mannered facade. He would kiss her until she could barely breathe, tugging at the invisible shackles around her ankles and demanding that she obediently step into his cage.
