The Lotus Leaves the Country for a Thousand Years

Han Zhi's father died at the foot of a thousand-foot cliff, his face changed beyond recognition. Dali Temple said it was an accident, and everyone in Luoyang believed it. Only Han Zhi didn't believe it. Ten years later, Han Zhi lived in seclusion in Gusu City, painting portraits of people who were about to die. He thought that if he painted a thousand portraits, he would forget the red lotus pattern that appeared in his mind the night his father died. But the red lotus appeared again. It appears under the sutra pillar of Dainichi Tathagata Temple in the sacred capital. It is densely packed with Sanskrit characters. From a height, it looks like a complete red lotus. There is a corpse sitting above the flower. The chest is empty and a gilt copper ball is stuffed inside. In order to pursue the case, Han Zhi borrowed the name of a fool named Zhou Yanzhi, returned to Shendu, and was admitted to Lijingtai as an internal guard. When Han Zhi found the third body, the clues left by the murderer gave Han Zhi a chill. Five Buddhas, five corpses, and Vajra Mandala. The murderer is using living people to build an invisible mandala, and every sacrifice he chooses is related to Han Zhi.
