The Canary Became a Top-Tier Star

An entertainment reporter asks Shu Fanqian, “Do you think real love exists in show business?”

Shu Fanqian smiles like a flower, suppressing the urge to flip him off. “Of course. Just look at Sheng Xiao and me.”

When Shu Fanqian is injured on set, Sheng Xiao is quick to show his concern: “Drink more hot water.”

Shu Fanqian tells him she’s an orphan. Sheng Xiao gives her an infuriating look. “What a coincidence. My family has four generations under one roof.”

Shu Fanqian shows him her diagnosis and says she has mild depression. Sheng Xiao gives a nonchalant “Oh.” “Then try to look on the bright side.”

At last, Shu Fanqian can’t take it anymore. “Sheng Xiao, let’s break up!”

Sheng Xiao looks up and tosses her a black card with no spending limit. “Have you made up your mind?”

Hermès and Chanel bags flash through Shu Fanqian’s mind, and she finally gives in. “I can put up with you a little longer.”
