Breaking Off My Engagement in the ’80s: I Strike Back with Twins, While the Military Commander Lines Up to Claim Them

Lin Qingman, a medical doctorate, transmigrates into a country girl in the 1980s. She gives birth to twins, a boy and a girl, but her husband pays her no mind for six years.

To save her critically ill daughter, she goes into the mountains to gather herbs and accidentally rescues an officer who fell off a cliff. She has no idea he is her own husband, the one she married on the cheap.

To raise money for medical bills, she goes to the provincial capital to apply for a nanny job, only to find the employer is her husband’s family!

When He Chengchuan gets home, he finds the woman he suspected of being a spy has become his family’s new nanny, and brought two little burdens with her. They keep calling him “Uncle He” with great affection.

He has no idea that this woman is not only the plain wife he was tricked into marrying six years ago, but that the two children are his own twins!

From then on, the cold-faced regiment commander suspects her identity by day and investigates in secret;

At night, though, the two adorable little ones cling to him, saying, “Uncle, tell me a story,” and “Uncle, you look just like my dad.” His heart of hardened steel melts completely.

Then one day, he sees the two darlings who call him Uncle every day pull out a marriage certificate identical to his own!

The aloof regiment commander is completely stunned: Could my plain, calculating wife really be the miracle-working doctor I’ve been longing for?

He Chengchuan knocks on her door in the middle of the night, eyes red: “Honey, I was wrong!”

Lin Qingman holds the two children close. “Want to be their dad? Get in line!”
