Deputy Star Abyss Warden Only Wants to Slack Off

Reborn on the very first day of her new job, Lu Zhaoming appears to be a food-loving deputy director of the Imperial Observatory, obsessed with astrology. In secret, she begins laying the groundwork to save the world. Using the memories of her previous life, she secures crucial anomalous objects before anyone else, roots out a mole, and recruits Xiao Jin, the frail hostage prince who can hear whispers from the stars, into her “world-saving squad.” She works with a loyal general, a dashing young noble, and a mysterious Taoist practitioner to turn the Imperial Observatory into the most powerful intelligence and research agency in the land. Meanwhile, between good food, flirting, and political battles, she gradually unravels the scheme to bring the “evil of the stars” into the world. When the red moon finally rises, Lu Zhaoming stands with a star chart in hand, backed by a now-mighty team and a whole new way of containing anomalies. This time, she will fight to give this twisted world a different future.
