The Backbone of a Man

At forty-five, Chen Dashan is forced to move in with his former daughter-in-law, Su Xiaoyue, to repay the debts left by his deceased son.

The house is home not only to his cool and enchanting former daughter-in-law, but also to her gorgeous best friend, who wanders around the living room every day in a spaghetti-strap nightdress.

“Uncle Zhao, you’re so old. Can you still keep up?” His friend is always making brazen jokes.

Chen Dashan can only give a bitter smile and shake his head. All he wants is to make money and repay the debt.

But everything changes once he reveals the depth and resourcefulness of a mature man.

A CEO worth hundreds of millions personally brings him liver-protecting supplements. “Mr. Chen, my company will need you at the helm from now on.”

His first love, the village beauty, goes to the city to wash dishes for his sake. “Brother Dashan, I’ll wait until you’ve earned enough to come marry me in a grand sedan chair.”

Even his mysterious former daughter-in-law lets slip a shocking secret after getting drunk...

A man is like a flower at forty-one. Who says middle-aged men are worth less than dogs?

Chen Dashan is determined to swim against the current, win both wealth and beauty, and forge an urban legend worthy of a mature man!
