A World of Global Horrors: I Use Criminal Law to Slay Gods

My name is Chen Lu. Badge number 064315. I am a Great Xia people's police officer. The paranormal has descended upon the world. Rules-based horror scenarios run rampant, and everyone is struggling to survive in terror. Only I, holding a copy of the Criminal Law of Great Xia, am cutting loose in this dark, corrupted age! A red-clad female ghost knocks at midnight. Trespassing and disturbing the peace? "Article 245 of the Criminal Law of Great Xia: unlawful entry into a residence. I sentence you to suppression!" A vengeful ghost, wrongly killed, massacres a hospital. Murdering innocents? "Article 232 of the Criminal Law of Great Xia: intentional homicide. The sentence is death, to be carried out immediately!" A world-ending ghost god lays waste to humanity and leaves the people in ruin? "In my capacity as an enforcer of Great Xia, I sentence you on multiple counts, strip you of your divinity for life, and annihilate you on the spot!" After unexpectedly awakening the Law sequence, I began slaying ghosts with a license in hand, backed by the state and guided by the law. No crime without a law. No punishment without a statute. Punishment must fit the crime. The law is my blade. A guilty verdict slays the ghost; sentencing delivers the judgment. This is my bottom line, and my weapon. In this world overrun by the paranormal, I have always believed: Before the law, humans and ghosts are equal, and gods and demons are equally guilty. The law shows no mercy to evil, and it will not tolerate monsters, demons, or wicked spirits!
