Back to 1982: Fishing to Support My Wife and Kids, While My Whole Family Drools with Envy

"You're the eldest son, the big brother. You're destined to go out to sea, so you should risk your life to put your younger brother through school!"

In his previous life, Chen Jianghai was manipulated by those words for his entire life. Braving a force-12 typhoon, he risked his life to catch a giant yellow croaker, only for his parents to hand it over to his younger brother, Chen Jianghe, to buy a house and get married. He could only watch as his wife coughed up blood and died, and his son developed brain damage from a high fever.

In the end, towering waves swallowed him beneath the sea, leaving his resentment behind!

Now he opens his eyes and finds himself back in 1982!

Facing his vicious younger brother, who smashed his son's toys and wore the sweater his beloved wife had knitted, he refuses to put up with it any longer! He snatches the fish spear from his brother's hands and, as the whole village watches in terror, smashes the Dragon King tablet enshrined in the ancestral hall!

"From today on, I, Chen Jianghai, will neither worship gods and Buddhas nor believe in fate!"

"Let's split the family! I'll go out to sea and make it on my own! I'll make you pay back everything you owe me, with interest!"

Armed with marine knowledge forty years ahead of its time and the sea-sensing skills he honed in his previous life, he will find a new way to live amid the tide of reform and opening up!

While others are still fishing for juvenile fish near shore, his battered boat is already returning to port with a thousand jin of giant yellow croaker!

While others treasure the finest abalone, his family's mongrel dog has eaten so much it feels sick!

From a battered boat to an ocean-going fleet, from a seafood peddler to a fishing empire! He'll show the whole world that his fish are for everyone, even the sharks, but bloodsuckers don't deserve a single one!
