The Outer Canon of the Yellow Emperor

Since ancient times, all things between heaven and earth have had yin and yang, an inside and an outside.

The eighteen volumes of the Yellow Emperor’s Inner Canon have been passed down from antiquity and are now a treasured legacy of China. The whereabouts of the thirty-seven volumes of the Yellow Emperor’s Outer Canon, however, remain unknown. Legend has it that the Outer Canon records miraculous medical arts capable of making a hearse turn back and bringing the dead back to life.

My name is Yu Fei. My family has practiced medicine for generations. Before my father died, he told me a secret: I am a descendant of the ancient divine physician Yu Fu, the inheritor of the Yellow Emperor’s Outer Canon, and the bearer of my family’s mission to find the lost text and heal the world.

To fulfill my family’s mission, I set out on a wondrous journey, solving one baffling medical mystery after another and uncovering the astonishing conspiracies behind each bizarre illness.

A sinister carbuncle on the back, a terrifying ghost fetus, a bizarre snake-man... Strange diseases no one has ever heard of!

Paper talismans that summon the dead to guide the way, yellow earth from a grave mound, a virgin boy’s urine, maggots from a latrine... Miraculous medicinal ingredients no one has ever seen!

Do not imitate any of the medical practices in this book. You do so at your own risk.
