Battling for Supremacy in the Sixteen Kingdoms

In 382 CE, on the eve of the Battle of Fei River.

Fu Jian, Heavenly King of Great Qin, boasted that his army could “cast whips into the river and halt its flow,” while 870,000 Qin soldiers sharpened their weapons.

Xie An, Eastern Jin's statesman and a legendary braggart, lounged on Mount Dong and claimed he could turn the Qin army back with a few words and a laugh.

Yao Chang, chieftain of the Qiang, and Murong Chui, the Xianbei prodigy, kept their ambitions hidden and waited for their chance.

In Chang'an, where peace had reigned for years and Hu and Han had merged, people chanted the ominous prophecy “fish and sheep devour men,” as if demons were about to take the stage and plunge the world into chaos...

Liang Guang, a Han Chinese serving in the household troops of a Di noble family, threw himself into this epic war that would decide the fate of an empire.

Fu Jian: “Liang Guang is truly a pillar of Great Qin!”

Xie An: “Liang Guang is a formidable hero of his age. He will be the one to destroy Qin!”

Murong Chui: “The only heroes under heaven are Lord Liang and me!”

Liu Laozhi and Liu Yu: “The bandit Liang is the enemy of our lives!”

When Fu Jian, the great ruler of his age, breathed his last on Mount Wujian, Liang Guang looked upon the realm he had single-handedly preserved.

“With an axe in my left hand and a spear in my right, I can ride out in every direction and defeat the rebels, protecting the people of Guanzhong!”

“Our late king's ambition to ‘unite the six regions as one family’ will be carried on by me!”
