Cultivating the Dao and Farming to Bring Peace to the World

Jiang Xuan opened and closed his eyes, and transmigrated to the era of the Ming Republic.

In this age, martial artists carved out territories of their own, commanding elite troops to battle ghosts and gods.

In this age, Taoists sat in quiet meditation to seek immortality, then descended the mountain with swords to slay demons and evil spirits.

In this age, fox spirits came by night to add fragrance, weaving tales of gifted scholars and beautiful women.

And there were scholars who leapt into rivers in a fit of fury, only to rise again astride dragons, crying, “The Imperial Star wavers, and Mars shines high!”

Gazing upon this vast and chaotic world, Jiang Xuan settled in Zhushan, farmed and cultivated the Dao, and made his opening move at the center of the board:

“Since I’m here, it’s time to bring peace to this troubled world.”
