A Liaodong Captain Who Single-Handedly Shakes the Ming

In the second year of the Tianqi era of the Ming dynasty, the smoke of the Battle of Sarhu had long since cleared, but an even greater calamity had descended upon Ming territory in Liaodong. Kaiyuan and Tieling had fallen. The vital cities of Shenyang and Liaoyang were lost, and the line at Guangning in western Liaoning was on the brink of collapse. From that moment on, Nurhaci of Jianzhou understood his former suzerain clearly: If the Ming lose the Mandate, all under Heaven will fight to claim it! But just then, a figure from outside the historical timeline appeared in the not-so-distant city of Guangning... Wang Qi, the Liaodong governor’s nephew by marriage and a company commander stationed in Guangning, stared at Sun Degong, standing with his sword drawn not far away, his eyes brimming with murderous intent. Captain Wang tightened his grip on his steel saber. The damn traitor thinks he’s something special! I pity you most when you dance at midnight. They say, “A man’s heart should be as hard as iron, even unto death.” Now watch me mend the rift in the heavens!
