Riding the Tide in 1990: Starting as a Factory Director

Xie Yang, a billionaire who made his fortune in smart technology, transmigrated into the body of a trainee technician named Xie Yang in 1990.

Taking a job was out of the question.

Even when the average worker earned just over 100 yuan a month, and he could make 400 yuan a month, taking a job was still out of the question.

It all began with a clever scheme: he acquired secondhand CNC equipment from a foreign investor without putting up a penny, traded the equipment for a half-stake in a factory, then used the factory as collateral for a bank loan...

From then on, Xie Yang went further and further down the road of getting everything for nothing.

From retrofitting secondhand CNC machine tools to switches, computers, and mobile phones...

Though his factory’s businesses would eventually span smart phones, smart homes, smart cars, intelligent navigation, AI algorithms, and many other fields of artificial intelligence, he always saw himself as nothing more than a factory director.

Can’t get the manufacturing technology right?

Plan ahead, poach talent everywhere, and throw money at the problem. Is it difficult?

The satellite system won’t let you use it?

Then design and launch your own satellites...

Factory Director Xie’s life motto: “Take the road others walk, and leave them with nowhere to go.” For instance, that guy who made his fortune with electric vehicles can only watch, grinding his teeth in frustration, powerless to do anything about it...
