The Honest Man in the ’70s Novel Goes on Strike

Qin Xi, who had just graduated from college, woke up one morning transported into the period novel she had stayed up late reading the night before. She had become the submissive cannon-fodder tool who always went along with everyone else's wishes.

In the book, Qin Xi's short life was spent making sacrifices for her family. She was obedient and sensible from childhood, helping the adults with their work. Of the six siblings, she alone never went to school. At sixteen, an autumn rain left her with a minor cold that developed into acute pneumonia, and her life came to a permanent end that autumn.

Now that she had been given another life, there was no chance she would be obedient and sensible. She would do what she was supposed to do, but no one would force her to do what wasn't her responsibility.
