Temp Worker of the Underworld

Wu Di dropped out of college and came from a family so poor they had nothing left to lose. He sold off the family’s belongings to pay for his father’s treatment, only to lose both his father and his money. With nowhere else to turn, he set up a stall telling fortunes, but the city inspectors shut him down. Single, lovesick, and a total loser, he was thrown out by his landlord on Ghost Festival night. By chance, he met the Ox-Head from the underworld, who was hiring, and became a low-ranking ghost officer. With a job and a paycheck, he thought he was finally on his way to the top, or at least that he could claw his way above the poverty line. Then Qin Shi Huang showed up, followed by Chiyou, and Wu Di racked up a massive debt paying the two big shots’ bills. Just when things couldn’t get worse, Ox-Head conned him badly, leaving him stuck paying off a mortgage. Now he has no choice but to keep catching ghosts and guiding spirits to the afterlife so he can pay off his debt! Luckily, he has two unreliable helpers. His ghost-hunting adventures are full of peril, and even the most dangerous situations are packed with laughs. He speaks with ghosts, reads people, and cuts through every obstacle, undefeated!
