Becoming a Top-Tier Star by Challenging The Voice

“Do you dare to audition for The Voice and see how far you can make it?”

Ye Lin was reborn in 2018 as a short-video creator. One comment from a netizen set the gears of fate turning.

Ye Lin: “Let’s do it. I’m signing up for The Voice. I’m all about keeping it real!”

At first, people thought it was just an ordinary challenge.

But as one video after another went up and good news kept coming, Ye Lin advanced from the district qualifiers to the provincial round, then from the provincial round to the national competition. The netizens couldn’t believe their eyes.

“Dude, it was just supposed to be a comedy skit. You’re actually doing it?”

“Take it easy, man. We only challenged you to audition. Don’t go and win the whole thing!”

“Oh no, my virtual pet is about to become a star!”

One day, he encountered the shady dealings behind The Voice.

The Voice producer: “Do you have money if you want to make it to the finals?”

Ye Lin: “No.”

The Voice producer: “Then are you signed with a major company, with investors backing you?”

Ye Lin: “No.”

The Voice producer: “Then what do you have?”

Ye Lin: “I have traffic.”

The Voice producer: “What?”

Ye Lin: “I have hundreds of millions of followers across the internet.”

The Voice producer: “W... What???”

Buddy, your traffic is bigger than The Voice’s!
