Journey to the West: It All Began When I Joined the Chat Group of the Heavens

“Five hundred years! A full five hundred years! Do you know what I’ve been through for these five hundred years?!”

Sun Wukong roars at the sky, his voice shaking the cosmos. Even the Five Elements Mountain trembles!

You old Tathagata, you think suppressing me for five hundred years can wear down my fighting spirit? You think it’ll make me obediently journey west to fetch the scriptures? Dream on!

After three hundred years of enlightenment, I’m not the same Great Sage I once was!

The Journey to the West? Fetching scriptures? No, that’s all just smoke and clouds!

The day I break free, I’ll turn the whole world upside down!

I’ll take a seat in that old Jade Emperor’s Hall of Miraculous Mist!

I’ll tear down that old Tathagata’s Thunderclap Monastery and use it for firewood!

Fate, destiny, all that nonsense about how the heavens cannot be defied: it’s all a joke to me!

I, Great Sage Sun, won’t be anyone’s chess piece. I’ll be the one moving the pieces!

You transmigrate as the Great Sage Equal to Heaven, only to learn that the Journey to the West won’t begin for another three hundred years? And worse, you’ll be stuck under the Five Elements Mountain for another three hundred years?!

Fortunately, you awaken the Myriad Worlds Chat Group and become its supreme being.

But it seems that, at first, you’re the only one in the chat group who’s strong. Can this golden finger even help you break free?

Three hundred years pass in the blink of an eye.

When the Journey to the West finally begins and the gods and Buddhas across the heavens think everything is under their control, a defiant voice rings out across the Three Realms:

“I, Great Sage Sun, am back!”
