Qing He, the female lord of Mingxin Sect, happened to come down from the mountain one day and rescued a little girl. The girl then clung to her, insisting she wanted to become her disciple.

Qing He said that her senior brother, the sect leader, had already picked out a disciple for her: a rare single fire spirit root, one in ten thousand.

Jin Zhao volunteered: I have a single fire spirit root too! Look at me, look at me! I won't let you down.

Ever since the sect leader of Mingxin Sect discovered he could hear his junior grand-niece's thoughts, he kept running over to Wenling Peak.

[Why does Martial Uncle Sect Leader keep asking me about sect business? Could he be planning to train me to be the next sect leader?]

The sect leader, who was only trying to fish for information: “…”

Bah, he'd only just become sect leader. How could he hand over the position so soon?

Before he could breathe a sigh of relief, his junior grand-niece's thoughts rang out again.

[I'm not going to be the last sect leader of a destroyed sect.]

And so everyone noticed that their sect leader was now managing the sect with even greater dedication.

Inside the secret realm.

[I'm definitely not going to tell you all that I picked up a...] Everyone scratched their heads, but her thoughts suddenly fell silent.

What had she picked up? Why wouldn't she say?
