The Treasure Appraiser

Lin Luo is a humble restorer at an antiques shop. After his grandfather passes away, he leaves behind a colorfully illustrated notebook and a jade pendant.

The notebook records the secrets of his grandfather’s trade, while the jade pendant his grandfather had worn for years undergoes a transformation, granting Lin Luo the ability to appraise antiques!

Shang dynasty oracle bones, Zhou dynasty jades, Qin terracotta warriors, Han lacquer boxes, Tang sancai, exquisite Song porcelain… Ming paintings and calligraphy, Qing imperial beast heads… bamboo, wood, ivory, horn, and the Four Treasures of the Study… he knows them all!

The pendant’s transformation also passes down his grandfather’s professional legacy. Feng shui, geomancy, locating auspicious burial sites, reading the landscape, and discerning the rise and fall of fortunes all become essential skills for Lin Luo!

What kind of legend will Lin Luo create, now that he has been blessed with such gifts?
