My Days as an Undercover Agent in the Six Fan Gate

As an undercover agent, He Butan has spent his life walking on thin ice, making every move with the utmost caution.

The Six Fan Gate is one strange place: they make counterfeit money, rob people of their silver, and even have a female constable who bathes with the door open.

The first priority when going undercover here is making sure you don't get found out.

His superior, Chairman Zhu Wushi, ignores him and leaves him to his own devices, waiting for the day they rise in rebellion, when He Butan can strike a fatal blow against the God of Constables.

But then He Butan becomes the Emperor's mole too, and is ordered to continue infiltrating the Six Fan Gate.

Next, the Azure Dragon Society comes knocking. Not only do they offer him a generous reward, they also tell him to keep working undercover in the imperial court.

Yikes.

Something's not right here. How did I become a spy inside a spy inside a spy?

Years later, He Butan looks at Zhu Wushi sitting on the imperial throne. In the end, he can't bring himself to say what is on the tip of his tongue.

Only when Boss Zhu starts courting death again does He Butan finally step forward.

I'm done pretending. I'll come clean: I'm the biggest mole of them all!
