Thump, Thump, Thump Goes My Heart

Before they got married, Rong Yan knew Mu Yuanhang had someone else in his heart, but she still married him without hesitation. It was simply because he was the one in her heart, too. She loved Mu Yuanhang; Mu Yuanhang loved the woman in his heart. They say that woman loved another man, who happened to be Mu Yuanhang’s half-brother. What a tangled mess of feelings. Then one day, the woman Mu Yuanhang loved told him that he was the one in her heart, too. So the marriage Rong Yan thought a child would finally secure came crashing down in the face of their earth-shattering, absurd love story. Rong Yan chose divorce without hesitation. After loving him for so many years, giving up her youth and her heart, and even bearing him a child, she couldn’t lose her dignity, too. She thought it would be easy to divorce him, since he had been unfaithful first and she wanted nothing from him, not the house, the car, or the money, only their daughter. But he sneered that she was a divorced woman out of touch with society, without a single survival skill, and insisted she couldn’t raise their daughter. So she fought a long, drawn-out battle with him for custody. She mocked him coldly: “Aren’t you worried your sweetheart will get tired of waiting while you drag this out?” He smiled. “Instead of sticking your nose into things that don’t concern you, you’d better go find yourself another lawyer.” Furious, she splashed a glass of water in his face. “Mu Yuanhang, you’re despicable!” Yes, every lawyer she hired was bought off by him with a hefty sum. In the end, heartbroken, she gave up custody of her daughter and decided to leave town to heal. But he had her intercepted at the airport. He said: “When my daughter wants to see you, you have to show up in front of her immediately. “When my daughter wants to eat your cooking, you have to make it for her at once. “When her school holds a family event, you have to give her a complete family in front of everyone. “So you can’t leave D City!” Rong Yan: “Mu Yuanhang, fuck your mother!” Mu Yuanhang was stunned on the spot. He had no idea this was only the beginning of his nightmare. After the divorce, she was like a different person. She stopped caring about her appearance and no longer made sure she always looked polished around him. She even swore like a sailor. She barely gave him the time of day and cursed him at the drop of a hat. She was nothing like the gentle, tender woman she used to be. He protested at how rudely she treated him. She smiled coldly. “Mu Yuanhang, this is the real me. How can you expect a divorced woman to have a good temper? It’s already a miracle she hasn’t gone insane.” Every time they met, she drove him half mad. But why was he growing fonder of her? Why did he even want them to get back together and mend their broken relationship?
