Good Evening, Mr. Yu

He was the untouchable heir to the Yu family, able to summon wind and rain with a wave of his hand. She was the daughter the Lin family treated like dirt. She returned to Jiangcheng with one purpose: revenge. And Mr. Yu was the only means to that end. “Mr. Yu, marry me.” At their first meeting, she made no attempt to hide her ambition. After they married, she plotted carefully, taking one calculated step at a time. Mr. Yu watched her tear the Lin family apart until they were left broken and divided. Then she handed him a divorce agreement. “Mr. Yu, we both got what we wanted. I’ve accomplished my goal.” Mr. Yu curled his lips into a faint smile and pinned her in a corner. “Lin Yu, do you think you can marry me whenever you want and leave whenever you want? Do you think you can walk into my heart and out of it whenever you please?” Only later did Lin Yu realize that everything had gone so smoothly because Mr. Yu had been indulging her all along. There was one thing Mr. Yu had never told anyone: That night, Lin Yu’s long hair fluttered as she smiled at him. “Good evening, Mr. Yu.” The night was dark, but she was like a beam of light illuminating his world.
