Even I Can’t Help but Feel Sorry for Her, and She’s the Alliance Leader

Jiang Huajiao is a demon slayer, but she wears a demon's skin and becomes a Feifei demon, timid as a mouse and prone to tears.

*

Tortured to the brink of death in the Infernal Prison, she vows to take Yu Taiqing down with her.

Yu Taiqing: I thought you were supposed to be timid as a mouse?

Huajiao shoves him away, covers her eyes, and screams. So scary!

Yu Taiqing: ??!!!

Is my face scarier than the Infernal Prison?

*

She slays demons in secret, plucking the strings with her jade-white fingers as her demon-subduing song makes them wish they were dead.

Demons: I thought you were supposed to cry all the time?

Huajiao watches the others rush over, hides her pipa after putting it away, then drips dew she'd collected beforehand into her eyes and cries so hard she's covered in tears and snot.

Demons: ??!!!

Why make me watch this before I die?

That year, on Mount Jiumian, Yu Taiqing was at his most wretched and helpless when he met Jiang Huajiao. She stole a kiss from him, captured his heart, then ran away.

After that, she changed her face and clung to his side.

She smiled at him like a flower and showered him with sweet words. When she cried, she was heartbreakingly lovely. She stuck to him whether she had a reason or not.

He knew she had ulterior motives and watched coldly from the sidelines, unaware that his own heart had fallen for her without him realizing it.

Until one day...

With a sleeve fluttering in the moonlight, she wielded a single blade to subdue demons and broke into a soul-stealing formation. With a pair of slender hands and a pipa, she turned heaven and earth upside down. At last, she pointed her demon-subduing blade at him and smiled coldly. "Surrender, you monster!"

Oh, so now he finally knew what she had been after, but it still hurt him beyond words.
