The Mad Regent's Persona Crumbles After He Reads My Mind

[Transmigrate into a book + mind reading + spatial System + unhinged fiction + mystery-solving, a devoted romance where both leads are pure in body and heart]

After years of slacking off in the underworld, the wronged soul Nan Xi finally gets a chance to be reincarnated. The Judge sends her into a novel, where she becomes a cannon-fodder character with the same name who dies right at the beginning. She also gets a System space complete with a merit shop.

From the start, she's on the execution ground. She opens her mouth to proclaim her innocence, only to draw the attention of the original novel's unhinged villain, the Regent.

"Oh my god, the big villain is so handsome! What a pity he's sickly, and the kind of sickly who'll kill people at the drop of a hat."

"Sigh! I only have one merit point, which means I've got one day left to live. Just one day!"

"Ugh! You dog of a man, destined to die alone. With that face that says the whole world owes you ten thousand taels of gold, no ghost would ever fall for you!"

Nan Xi goes further and further down the road of roasting the big villain, unaware that he can read minds.

In public, the big villain says, "My princess consort is kind and innocent, devoted to helping everyone. Don't bully her."

In private, he traps her and bullies her mercilessly.

Nan Xi declares that a woman can wait ten years to get her revenge.

So she says, "You didn't know? Your good guard is about to bite the dust. The person who killed him is..."

The next day, the guard reports for duty as usual, while the culprit is locked in prison, awaiting execution after the autumn harvest.

"The male and female leads have finally shown up. The big villain is finally going to die."

Soon, someone reports the male lead for secretly making imperial robes and plotting a rebellion. He's stripped of his rank and sent to the borderlands.

The female lead is also hastily cast off by her family and married to someone else.

Why is the plot getting more and more wrong?
