From Courier to Emperor

Lately, there have been plenty of rumors claiming that I, He Jinchao, was just a low-level courier in the Great Ming, and that I rebelled out of resentment after Emperor Chongzhen laid me off!

I, He Jinchao, would like to clear things up. These aren’t rumors. I’ve prepared a business plan, and I’m going into business for myself as emperor.

Here’s a little inside information: this plan is called “Resentment-Based Entrepreneurship.” If you want to invest, hurry up and join. By the time it succeeds, I’ll appoint you chancellor and make you a marquis. You’ll be promoted and rolling in wealth, so come join my startup!

Li Zicheng: “He Jinchao, you make it sound pretty good, but I can’t help feeling like I’m living in his shadow!”
